It's the End of the World as I Know It by Mathew Landis, 8th grade English teacher, is a book that really drew me in. Landis writes realistic dialogue and creates characters I cared about. Especially Derrick, who has forgotten the last year of his life. This book explores how we deal with grief. With anxiety. Can Derrick's family and friends help him remember the witty jokester he used to be? Even as he preps for the end of the world? Verdict: Will make you wonder, and laugh, and cry!!
